How to speak to a publisher and other thoughts on query?

No writer worth anything Ignores queries, no writer in the world accepts each idea presented to them. So, the extremes are rather obvious (the range between the Yes and the No). It is constantly perplexing to writers, I understand from being a writer, to hear publishers are looking for, looking, longing for great novels. Writers look surprised that it is difficult for publishers to discover excellent books. After all, from a writer’s point of view they consider what they have written is “great” so the writer’s problem should be repaired. But it is not that simple and that is where the query letter (or pitch) comes in to play. You need to convince a publisher your writing is exceptional, creative, educational, higher quality and each of these exceptional things.
